I was truly moved reading about the bravery of Captain Dave Rosa. This incident has been weighing on my mind, and I can't stop thinking about the sheer unpredictability of that day. Firefighters go into situations like this putting their lives on the line, but I can’t imagine anyone expected something this devastating to happen. My heart goes out to Captain Rosa’s family and all his colleagues at the Long Beach Fire Department. They've lost not only a colleague but a dear friend and leader. It’s hard to comprehend how something like responding to a fire could end so tragically. I hope the community continues to rally around his family and the firefighters affected by this senseless act. Rest in peace, Captain Rosa.
