Has anyone else been following the Melyda "Mely" Corado case and noticed how the tragic events have spurred discussions about police use of force? It's been five years, and I still think about Mely and her family and what they’ve endured. One thing that's stood out to me is how this incident might affect training and policies within the LAPD and possibly other police departments across the country. With the $9.5 million settlement, it feels like there's a recognition that changes might need to be made to prevent such a devastating loss of life. It's shocking and sad that Mely became a part of this problem, a reminder of how easily innocent lives can be caught in the crossfire. The family's continuous fight for justice is remarkable, and I sincerely hope their efforts will lead to meaningful reforms. My thoughts are with them as they navigate this incredibly difficult journey. Anyone have updates or insights on potential policy changes that have come out of this case?
