Hey everyone, I came across Alfredo Castillo's case again today, and something’s been bugging me. I remember reading that he was wearing a neon green windbreaker when he was last seen. That’s such a unique and bright piece of clothing - you’d think it would stand out and be noticed by someone. Has anyone spotted someone matching his description in a neon green jacket around North Hills or nearby areas over the years? If we're assuming he’s still in the area, maybe that’s a detail someone might recall. I know it’s a long shot, but sometimes these little things might spark a memory. Stay vigilant, everyone.
Hey everyone,
I've been following Alfredo Castillo's case for a while, and something's been nagging at me regarding the timing of his disappearance. Has anyone else noticed how right before he went missing, the school year would have just ended or been ending? I wonder if the transition into summer might've played a role in his decision to leave, assuming he did leave on his own.
Summer can be a tough time for a lot of teens, with schools closing and the loss of daily routines. It makes me think about whether Alfredo was struggling with something that worsened during those first long days of summer. Finding a safe place, with friends or a place to stay, might have felt like a better option for him. It's incredibly frustrating and sad that we haven't heard a thing in years.
Also, did the police ever mention if they checked out local hangouts or places where teens in the area might spend their free time during summer? Anyone from North Hills who might be able to share insights on where teens might go if they wanted to be on their own for a while?
Let's keep the conversation going; it's important not to let these cases fade into the background. If there's any chance he's out there and sees this, we want him to know we're still thinking of him and hoping he's safe.
Stay safe, everyone.
Does anyone else find it odd that Alfredo's neon green windbreaker has never been mentioned in any sightings? You'd think something that bright would stick out a bit more. I know they initially thought he ran away, but even if he did, it’s been years, and that windbreaker would’ve been pretty hard to miss if he was still around North Hills, right? Just wondering if anyone else thinks it’s strange that there weren't any credible leads on a piece of clothing that’s so distinctive. Anyone local who remembers seeing anything like that back then?
