The reopening of Valinda Park just doesn't feel the same knowing what happened to Jeanita Griego. It's unimaginable what her family must be going through. It's a place where people go to relax and enjoy the day, and now it has this shadow over it. I've been thinking a lot about how the community can come together to support each other after such a tragedy. Maybe organizing some sort of memorial event or community vigil would be a positive step? It could serve as a way to honor Jeanita’s life and show solidarity against violence in our community. Anyone interested in discussing this or knows of something already in the works? We need more peace and healing right now.
