I've been following Everick Mitchell's case, and I can't help but feel for his family, who have endured so much loss. Knowing that his death is part of a larger pattern of violence in New Orleans makes it even more pressing to find justice. It seems like there should be a stronger push for collaborative efforts between residents and law enforcement to foster trust and gather the information needed to solve cases like Everick's.
