I was reading about Steven Madsen's case and noticed something peculiar that might warrant further discussion. Considering the location where he was last seen on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, has anyone considered the possible influence of tidal currents in the area? The waters around that bridge are known for being treacherous and unpredictable. Could this have affected search efforts at the time, possibly altering where search teams looked for him in those crucial early hours and days? I wonder if there's any historical data on how tides could have carried a person in that situation. Maybe revisiting tidal patterns could offer some new insights or search areas? Just a thought. Anyone else have insights on this aspect?

Has anyone else been following the Steven Madsen case? I stumbled upon it while looking through NamUs, and it’s been on my mind since. It’s just so baffling to me how someone can disappear from a major bridge sighting like that with zero trace. I lived in NYC for a while, and that bridge sees a ton of traffic at all hours, so it seems strange that nothing concrete was captured. I know a few people mentioned seeing him jump, but has there been any talk about possibly reconstructing the timeline of his movements before he got on the bridge? Maybe there might be CCTV footage from earlier in the day that could reveal what his state of mind was? This case has so many unanswered questions. If anyone has any insights or updates, I’d love to know.
