Hey everyone, I was thinking about that awful incident involving Ada and Herman Heintz, and something's been troubling me. Consider how long both of them worked at the Imperial Irrigation District—Herman for 41 years and Ada for 19 years. It seems like such a large part of their lives. You have to wonder how the pressures of work, if any, might have played a role in their personal lives or state of mind. I know the company provided grief counseling afterward, but it sticks with me that they were dedicated employees for so long. Could there have been any signs of stress related to work that went unnoticed? My heart goes out to their family and friends. It's hard to make sense of something so tragic. Would love to hear thoughts or similar experiences from anyone else.
