It’s honestly devastating to think about how Enrique Alvarado was just doing his job, trying to make an honest living, and yet met with such a senseless end. I’ve been following his case and can’t help but wonder about the role of security in high-risk jobs like his. Given that these dispensaries can be targets for crime, shouldn’t there be more stringent security protocols in place? You would think improvements are needed to protect these workers; perhaps enhanced security systems, or maybe even having two guards on duty instead of one, might deter potential criminals.
From what I’ve read, Enrique switched to the day shift thinking it was safer, and that truly hits hard. It must be incredibly difficult for his family to cope with the fact that he made a decision for his own safety, only to have this happen during the day. My heart sincerely goes out to them during this painful time.
It’s imperative that community members speak up if they know anything that might help. No piece of information is too small, and justice deserves to be served for Enrique and his loved ones. What are everyone else's thoughts on improving safety for jobs like his?
Was anyone else struck by how Enrique Alvarado's shift change might have ironically played into this tragedy? It's truly unsettling to think that he adjusted his life for safety, only for this to happen during the daytime. I just feel for his family and friends so much, considering the decisions he made to protect himself. It makes you wonder about the measures in place for those working these jobs and if more could be done to prevent such a tragedy in the future. I hope the community rallies around his loved ones and that justice is served for Enrique. Any updates on the investigation will be greatly appreciated.
