I can't stop thinking about how tragic Janet Trigg’s case is, especially when considering the mental health aspect that seems to have played a role here. It’s deeply unsettling to think about how a respected attorney could spiral into such a dark place leading to this horrific outcome. It makes me wonder if there were warning signs and if more could have been done to prevent this tragedy. It's so important for communities to be aware of the signs of mental distress and for there to be available resources for anyone at risk of harming themselves or others. I hope that Janet’s family and everyone affected by this incredible loss can find some sort of solace and that it serves as a wake-up call for addressing mental health issues more proactively. What a tough situation for the authorities too. It's got to be heart-wrenching to walk into a scene like that and to know that despite their efforts to negotiate and de-escalate, things still ended tragically. It feels like there’s still so much we need to learn about preventing situations like these from ever reaching such a violent peak.
