I've been following the Thomas Romerson case closely and something that keeps nagging at me is the lack of surveillance footage or witness reports from the area around the time of the shooting. I know the incident happened on International Boulevard, which is a busy area, especially around 9 p.m. on a weekday. It's puzzling that there are no clear leads or witness accounts emerging from such a bustling location.
Could it be that people are just too afraid to come forward? If that's the case, it's heartbreaking to think fear might be preventing justice for Thomas. I'm really hoping that anyone who knows something, even if it seems insignificant, will find the courage to speak up. The community deserves answers, and Thomas's family deserves closure. I’ve been thinking a lot about the tragic loss of Thomas Romerson. I used to pass through the 8900 block of International Boulevard all the time, and it’s so sad to think about what happened there on June 12, 2019. There’s been a lot of discussion about violent crime in Oakland, but Romerson’s case stands out because there’s just no known motive. It must be incredibly difficult for his family and friends not knowing why this happened. I hope that anyone who might know something comes forward to help bring some peace to his loved ones. It’s important for our community to support each other and work together to stop these horrible acts. Sending strength to everyone affected.
