I can't stop thinking about the timing between the shootings of Daniel Venegas and Alberto Rafael Sosa Alvarez. Just six hours apart—it's terrifying to consider how quickly two lives were taken in the same area. I really feel for the families who must be living in constant anxiety, not knowing if there was any connection or if more violence could occur. The fact that no arrests have been made only adds to the frustration and fear. What puzzles me is the sheer brazenness of these acts. Both happened in somewhat busy areas; you'd think there'd be more witnesses or at least security footage that could provide some leads. It makes me wonder if the community doesn’t feel safe coming forward with information or if there's something larger at play here. Sending thoughts to both the Venegas and Sosa Alvarez families. I hope they find the strength to keep pushing for answers.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact on the neighborhood where Daniel Venegas was killed. It must be incredibly unsettling for residents near Aliso Road, knowing something so violent happened just steps away from their homes. I can't imagine how the families who live there are coping with the reality of such incidents, especially with this being the second homicide in just hours. It's apparent that Cathedral City is dealing with significant challenges in terms of violence in 2019, and it's distressing to think of how many families are affected by these tragedies. I've noticed that in many cases like this, people are often left feeling anxious and fearful in their own communities. I hope that stronger community ties and increased support can start to change that, making neighborhoods safer and more resilient. My heart goes out to Daniel's friends and family. While we hope for justice soon, I also hope the community finds ways to support each other through these difficult times. If anyone has updates or could share any vigils or memorials being planned, it would be great to hear more. Sometimes, coming together can bring a bit of solace amidst the pain.
