I keep thinking about the impact that Charles Anderson's murder had on his young son. Growing up without a father is hard enough, but knowing he was taken in such a violent way must be incredibly difficult. It's heartbreaking to think about all the milestones missed and the memories that never got to be made. I hope as the city works to tackle the crime rates, they also remember the children and families left behind. It’s not just about solving cases, but providing the support these families need to heal. Does anyone know if there are community programs in New Orleans that help children affected by violence? I’d like to support if I can.
