I’ve been deeply reflecting on the timeline of when Sabrina obtained the restraining order against José and the tragic events that followed. It’s incredibly painful to think about how she did everything in her power to protect herself and her children, only for it to culminate in such unimaginable tragedy. Having read similar cases, it's disheartening to see how sometimes the legal measures aren't enough to prevent such disasters. Does anyone know if there has been any push for policy changes or improvements in how quickly restraining orders are enforced in California, specifically regarding domestic violence cases? I'm asking because it feels like more needs to be done to ensure that victims are genuinely safe once they take that brave step of seeking help. My heart goes out to Sabrina's and the children's family and friends. I can’t imagine what they’re going through, and I hope they manage to find some peace in their memories of such a loving mother and her children.

Has anyone else been following the Valdivia case from San Diego? It keeps weighing on my mind, especially thinking about how little Enzi, just 3 years old, was caught up in such unimaginable violence. It’s haunting to think about how domestic disputes can escalate to such tragic extremes. It sounds like Sabrina did everything she could to protect her children, but the system failed her. I know hindsight is 20/20, but it's frustrating to see how little a restraining order did in this situation. I can't help but think about what more could have been done to keep her and those kids safe. It’s just so devastating for the whole community. Holding those affected in my thoughts.
