I keep thinking about the role the homemade zip gun played in Frank Rojas' case. I mean, it’s terrifying to imagine that something so lethal could be made in such a makeshift way. It breaks my heart to know that Frank's life was taken over such a senseless misunderstanding about a 49ers flag. The fact that Daniel Gonzalez resorted to using a zip gun really highlights the desperation and recklessness involved in this tragedy. It makes me wonder how many other dangerous homemade weapons are circulating out there and the real risks they pose. My thoughts are with Frank's family—no one should lose a loved one in such an awful manner. If only things had been different that day.
