I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on Joann Hoyt and her surviving son. To have your daughters taken in such a senseless act of violence, and to be assaulted yourself, must be unimaginable. The fact that this person, Groves, was once trusted and welcomed into their home makes it even more painful. Betrayal on that level just adds another layer of trauma. I hope the community continues to support them as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time. It's also essential to stress the importance of recognizing red flags in relationships, so we can prevent such tragedies in the future. Keeping Joann, her son, and the memory of Caira and Leah in my thoughts. ?
