I’ve been following the Lorenzo Thompson case closely and was thinking about how vigilant the Vermont Square neighborhood must be now. It's incredible how a single incident can change the atmosphere of an entire community. Residents must be on edge, especially knowing the shooting was targeted. I can’t imagine how terrifying it must be for the people who live there, hearing gunshots one evening and realizing how close danger came to their homes. Do you think the increased police presence is helping the community feel safer, or is it just adding to the tension? It's heartbreaking that this is what it takes to bring awareness to the issues of gun violence in our neighborhoods. I genuinely hope the community finds peace and healing, and that some positive changes come from such a tragic event.
