Has anyone else been following the developments in the Cristian Gonzales and Frank Mosqueda Jr. case? It's absolutely gut-wrenching to think about what their families must be going through right now. I read that Jesus Beltran-Guzman was already in custody for something else before they connected him to the shooting—just goes to show how complex these cases can get.
What I find really alarming is how the place where this happened is so close to a university. Even though authorities reassured everyone that it wasn't related to the school, I can't help but think about all the students and residents who must have been terrified that night. It's chilling to imagine being in a situation where you can hear gunshots and not know what's happening.
Hopefully, the attention this case has received will push for some real change in the community. It's just so sad that it takes something like this for issues like gun violence to really be taken seriously. I really hope Cristian and Frank's families find some peace and justice soon.
