Has anyone else been following the community response since the tragic loss of Makaylah Brent? I've been reading about the efforts her family and neighbors have been making to push for stronger measures against gang violence in North Sacramento. It’s truly inspiring to see the community rallying together to try and protect kids and keep parks safe. Makaylah's story is a stark reminder of how dire the situation is and how these issues affect everyone, not just those directly involved in gangs. I feel for her family and everyone who knew her, and I hope this cause gains enough momentum to make a real difference. Anyone else involved in or know of any initiatives happening locally? Would love to hear more about any ongoing efforts in her memory.
