I came across the tragedy of Seaman Isaiah Glenn Silvio today, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I can't help but think about the mental health struggles that many in the military might be facing, especially with the added stress of the pandemic during that time. It’s deeply concerning that someone so young felt that there was no other way out. The Navy, and really the entire military, need to keep pushing for better mental health resources and making sure that every sailor knows they have somewhere to turn for help. Does anyone know if there have been any updates on the programs or initiatives aiming to improve mental health support for service members? It seems like there is so much more that can and should be done to prevent such tragedies.
