I’ve been following Joshua Short’s case for a while now, and it just struck me how interconnected our community is and how much potential we've lost. Joshua was so young and talented, and it seems like he was touching lives through his tutoring work. I can’t help but think about the student he went to visit that night—what a devastating impact this must have had on them. To witness something so horrific happening to someone they looked up to is unimaginable. Is there anyone here local who knows if the scholarship fund set up in his memory is still active? I think contributing to something that supports budding filmmakers, just like Joshua, could be a meaningful way to continue honoring his legacy. We can't change what's happened, but we can keep talking about it and making sure his story isn't forgotten.
