I wanted to discuss the location where Arlena and her baby were taken from us. I can’t help but feel for the residents of Wilmington who are living with this type of violence right on their doorstep. It's heartbreaking when you can’t even feel safe sitting in your car during the middle of the day. Imagine the fear and uncertainty this leaves behind in the community. I've read in several places that this seems to be a case of mistaken identity or that Arlena was an unintended target in a gang-related incident. It’s infuriating and deeply saddening to think about how senseless acts like this take innocent lives and leave families shattered, including Arlena’s three young kids who now have to grow up without their mother. My thoughts go out to her family and her little ones as they navigate this unimaginable loss. I also think it’s important to focus on raising awareness and finding effective ways to combat this kind of violence. The police are urging anyone with information to step forward, and hopefully, someone can provide a piece of the puzzle that leads to answers. If there's anyone reading this who knows anything at all, I urge you to contact the authorities. Remaining silent only lets the perpetrators continue with impunity. Let’s all hope that justice is served and that Arlena’s family finds some measure of peace.
