Has anyone else been following the Carlos Eduardo Aguilar Perez case and noticed the lack of public cooperation? It's truly baffling and frustrating. I understand the fear of retaliation in gang-involved areas, but it's devastating to see justice stalled because of a "no-snitch" culture. Carlos deserves justice, and his family deserves peace. It's important for the community to speak out, not just for Carlos, but to prevent future tragedies. What's been done to encourage witnesses to feel safe in speaking up? If anyone has thoughts or suggestions on improving this situation, I'd love to hear them. Carlos's loved ones need our support now more than ever.
I can't stop thinking about the neighborhood's response to Carlos's tragic death. It seems like there's been an emerging sense of solidarity among the community members of Boyle Heights. To me, that speaks volumes about how deeply this incident has affected everyone, even beyond those who personally knew Carlos.
I've been hearing that local activists and residents have been more vocal lately, organizing gatherings and forums to discuss how to combat the persistent gun violence in the area. It's a silver lining in such a devastating time, seeing people come together in the hopes of fostering change. I'm hoping this collective action provides some solace to Carlos’s family, knowing their loved one’s story is inspiring others to seek the safety and justice the community desperately needs.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or maybe participated in any of these community events? I’d love to hear more about what's happening on the ground there.
