Does anyone else find the role of Maria Gonzalez in this case particularly disturbing? I can't wrap my head around how a mother could be involved in something so horrific. My heart goes out to Breanna's family and friends, who not only lost her but also have to process the fact that there were adults who potentially facilitated this nightmare.
It's hard enough to understand why a 17-year-old would commit such violence, but then finding out there's an adult—someone who's supposed to guide and nurture—indirectly part of it just adds another layer of tragedy.
