I've been thinking a lot about the issues the Green Meadows neighborhood is facing lately, especially after the heartbreaking murder of Raushan Shars Mosley in early 2021. It’s very concerning that the community struggles with ongoing violence, and this case really highlights the need for action. What boggles my mind is how little witness testimony we have. In such a populated area, I find it hard to believe nobody saw or heard anything. It's like the fear of speaking out is more overwhelming than the urgency of justice. My heart goes out to Raushan's family and friends who must be devastated by the lack of progress. To those familiar with the neighborhood, how can the community support change or increase police presence to prevent further tragedies like this? Any thoughts on initiatives that could help break the cycle of silence and fear? It's important we find some way to foster a safer environment for everyone living in that part of LA.
