I keep thinking about how swift the arrest was in Tresylan Shelton's case. It seems like the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office really moved quickly once they identified Jerome Goodwin as the suspect. I wonder what kind of evidence they have that pointed them directly to him so fast. The fact that the SWAT team was involved in his apprehension at a motel tells me they wanted to ensure he was taken into custody without any further danger to the public. Considering his past conviction, it must have been a tense situation for everyone involved. It's such a tragic event that has rocked the community, and my heart goes out to Shelton's family and friends. Hopefully, the continued investigation will give them some answers and, eventually, some closure.
