Hi, I am Corey’s sister. ( sister in law) we’re thankful for the video footage because it was key in this, but we haven’t seen it. We chose not to there. Were people videoing immediately after he was shot and that was put on a public page.. wow strangers and his friend and paramedics tried to revive him at the scene. It’s been terribly hard been hard on his four daughters. It’s been hard on his siblings. It’s been extremely hard on my children. We were very close with them. The mental impact on everybody even though it’s been extremely hard. Corey was my son‘s godfather and he is almost 21 now in the year after he was shot my son who left his room. My brother wasn’t perfect, but yahoo was tried to be the hero and he loved kids and he would do anything to protect him. His girls miss him every single day. He loved Superman. He was definitely a hero to all of us.

SF, So sorry your family has had to go through this. I'm so glad at least they caught this guy and he received at least a lengthy sentence. Even though it shoulda been life. My sister's killer received just 8 years and he was out in 6. It's destroyed out lives.

Has anyone seen the footage from the Rosedale Inn surveillance cameras that was used in Gary Jennings' trial? I heard it played a big role in proving that Jennings was indeed the one who fired the gun. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for Corey's family to see that evidence. It's haunting to think how a single moment caught on camera can change so many lives forever. Corey was just trying to do the right thing and keep the area safe for the kids around. Just heartbreaking that it ended this way. What do you all think about surveillance footage being used in these cases? Does it help bring justice, or does it sometimes muddy the waters even more?
I've been reading through everything about Corey Michael Fisher's case, and my heart goes out to his loved ones. Something that really strikes me in all of this is the role that location played. The Rosedale Inn where the shooting took place is plagued by crime, and it's tragic that such a dangerous environment contributed to what happened. I wonder how different things might have been if more resources were available to improve safety in these high-crime areas. It's devastating to think that Corey's life was cut short in a place that many saw as unsafe. Praying for his family and hoping that changes will be made to prevent more tragedies like this.
I keep thinking about the impact this has had on Corey Fisher's family. From everything I've read, he was such a kind soul, and it tears at you to think of his life being cut short like that. What really sticks with me is how Corey was just trying to protect those kids. It makes my heart ache to know that his last moments were spent looking out for others, even when faced with danger.
It's crucial we talk about how these tragic events impact the families left behind. Concerted efforts should be made to support them—not just in the immediate aftermath but also as they deal with court proceedings and coping with their loss over time. I hope they find some comfort in the courage Corey showed and the many people who clearly cared about him.
