Update: I submitted a public records request in November. In December I finally got a response from NOPD, which stated that "due to budget constraints" they cannot provide the files at this time.

Does anyone else feel like Tyler Lee's case might have witnessed numerous missed opportunities early on in the investigation? I was reading up on some old police files, and it seems like there was a broken car window at the scene, which should have led to more immediate forensic collection and an appeal for witnesses. It's been over a decade now, and I'm really hoping that someone, maybe someone who saw something that night, comes forward to help piece this together. I can't imagine the pain his family must be feeling with no closure for so long. The community's role is so vital in this—every tip could be crucial. Has anyone heard about any recent developments or if the community is organizing anything to raise awareness about Tyler’s case?
