Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about Jeremy Devon Riles’ case and specifically about the role that community engagement has played in trying to find answers. It’s truly inspiring to see his family and friends coming together, organizing vigils and forums to not only demand justice for Jeremy but also shed light on the broader issue of gun violence impacting Inglewood. It must be such a challenging time for them, yet they continue to push forward, refusing to let his memory fade away.
It speaks volumes about the strength of the community, which is unfortunately forced to unite over such tragic circumstances far too often. If you’re from the area and have attended any of these gatherings, how has the community response been? Have they been effective in gaining more media attention or possibly prompting new leads?
My heart goes out to all those affected, and I hope that continued community efforts will eventually lead to a breakthrough. Stay strong, Inglewood.

I was reading about Jeremy Riles' case and found myself reflecting on how frustrating it must be for his family and friends, knowing there hasn't been much progress in finding those responsible. From what I've gathered, there were no witnesses—or at least none who have come forward—making it incredibly tough for detectives to piece together what happened that night on Prairie Avenue. It's chilling to think about how common gun violence is in that area, and yet how seldom there seems to be resolution in cases like this.
The vigils and community meetings are a way for people to come together not only to remember Jeremy but also to voice the need for change in their neighborhood. It's so important for communities to unite and continue pushing for answers. If anyone reading this has even the slightest bit of information, I urge you to contact the authorities. We might not be able to change what's happened, but we can help bring some measure of justice to those left behind.
