I’ve been following Deonte Pinkney's case, and I’m struck by how his story isn’t just another statistic. It makes me think a lot about the role of community in these times. I read about how important tips from the public can be, and it really makes me wonder about the barriers to coming forward. Is it fear of reprisal? Distrust of the system? It must be incredibly tough for those who have information but feel they can't share it.
Deonte’s friends and family deserve answers, and it’s clear the LAPD is doing what they can with what they have, but at the end of the day, they need our help. Hopefully, someone with knowledge about what happened will find the courage to step up. Sending all my thoughts and strength to his loved ones right now.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Deonte Jerome Pinkney and something that really caught my attention was the lack of security footage mentioned in the reports. Given how many areas in LA have cameras, it seems odd that we haven't heard anything about footage being reviewed or released to the public. I understand that sometimes footage isn't always available, but it just feels like a lot of these tragic incidents could benefit from more eyes on the scene.
For anyone who's familiar with the local area where the incident took place, do you know if there are any security cameras nearby? Or has there been any news I might have missed about efforts to obtain video evidence? It's just so important for these types of cases to have as much concrete evidence as possible, not only for capturing what happened but also for holding those responsible accountable.
My heart goes out to Deonte's family and friends. I hope there's progress soon in bringing them the justice they deserve.
