I’ve been thinking a lot about this case and my heart goes out to Ralph Rivas’s family and friends. One thing that caught my attention was how swiftly the Fresno PD moved once they identified Edward Lemos as the suspect. They really seemed to work quickly, apprehending Lemos just three days after the incident. It must have been incredibly difficult for Ralph’s loved ones to wait for answers during those initial days, but I hope they found some relief knowing a suspect was in custody relatively soon after. I can’t imagine the pain they’re going through, and it’s just so hard to wrap my head around why this happened. Reports say there was no clear motive, and it makes you wonder about the randomness and unpredictability of gun violence. Hoping anyone with more information steps up—anything that might help bring full justice and some semblance of peace to Ralph’s family.
