Hi everyone,
I’ve been following Dominique Lashay Moore’s case and can’t shake off this sense of how silent the area around 10500 S. Firth Ave seems to have gone after her tragic death. In the wake of such a traumatic event, you’d think there’d be more community conversations, yet it seems like people are too afraid or wary to speak up. What are your thoughts on why locals might be holding back, even if they have useful information? Is it fear of retaliation, or maybe a lack of trust in law enforcement? It's just so upsetting to know that the pain of Dominique’s family could potentially be eased with more community support. We need collective voices to overcome the fear that allows these crimes to continue occurring. I’d love to hear your thoughts or even personal insights if anyone is familiar with efforts to foster better communication between the community and detectives here.
Stay safe and hopeful,

Has anyone else been following the Dominique Lashay Moore case? I can't help but wonder about the day-to-day impact this tragedy must have on her community in Watts. It's terrifying to think that gun violence has become such a part of life for some neighborhoods, but it's also inspiring to see how people band together in tough times. I've seen communities stand up and say enough is enough, coming together for vigils and support meetings to find strength in numbers. Does anyone know if there have been any community initiatives launched in Moore's memory? I'm hoping that even in dark times, there's a way to build something positive out of all this pain. Sending thoughts to Dominique's friends and family; they deserve justice and all the community support they can get.
Does anyone have any updates on Dominique Moore's case? It's been over two years now, and it seems like the investigation has stalled. I'm really concerned about how gun violence continues to affect communities like Watts and how many families and friends are left with so many unanswered questions. I often wonder how Dominique's family is holding up; I can't imagine the strength it must take to deal with such a loss without any closure. If anyone knows more about community efforts or memorials held in her honor, please share. It would be nice to support local initiatives that aim to help in this ongoing struggle against violence.
