I'm not sure if anyone's looked into this angle yet, but has anyone considered the possibility that Oshai Royal could have headed towards the lakefront that night? I know Chicago's weather in February is brutal, but sometimes the lake can be a place where people go to clear their heads. Given Oshai's condition, maybe he needed some time alone? I wonder if any cameras near the lakefront captured anything unusual around that time. Also, do we know if there's been any coordinated volunteer search efforts in that area? Just thinking out loud here, but it might be worth exploring if it hasn't been already. Any thoughts?
Has anyone ever looked into whether Oshai had any friends or acquaintances in the area where he disappeared? It's a busy part of Chicago, and someone might have seen something back then that didn't seem significant at the time. Also, given that he was wearing that distinctive "True Religion" outfit, you'd think it might have caught someone's eye. If anyone has any insights or theories, it might help to revisit those routes he might have taken. Sometimes retracing steps can trigger new memories or ideas. Has there been any talk in the community about organizing another search event? I'd hate for his case to go cold without a push for more awareness and involvement from locals.
I came across the case of Oshai Royal recently, and something that stood out to me is how quickly someone can vanish without leaving a trace. It’s been over five years since that February night, and it’s hard to imagine how his family is coping with so little information. As someone who also has a family member with bipolar disorder, I know how vulnerable a person can be when they’re not receiving the right care, especially during an episode. It’s scary to think about what might have happened if he didn’t have the medication or support he needed. Does anyone recall any community searches or vigils that were organized back then? Local efforts like that can sometimes bring people together and unearth new leads. I’m hoping that something new comes up soon in Oshai's case. It's important to keep his name and face in the public eye.
