Hey everyone,
I’ve been reading through the threads about Timonhy Raynea Lee, and I can't stop thinking about the impact her passing has had on the youth in the Watts neighborhood. It's incredibly sad to think about what a toll this kind of violence takes on young people's ability to feel safe and hopeful for the future. From what I've gathered, Timonhy was someone who got along with practically everyone, always trying to uplift others. It makes me wonder how her vibrant personality could have been a beacon for so many if things were different.
Does anyone know if there are any mentoring or support programs in her community that focus on empowering the youth, maybe something she was involved in when she lived there? I feel such programs could potentially help in transforming the narrative for these kids. How can we, as outsiders, support movements like that, even from afar? The community needs healing, and I feel everyone who’s racked by this same sense of grief and loss might find some solace in investing back into the community Timonhy cared for.
Sending strength and love to Timonhy's family. Let’s keep the conversation going and see how we can help, even if just a little.
