It's really upsetting to think about how young both the victim and the suspects are in this case. I’ve been thinking a lot about the difficulties faced by the families on both sides. For Kyle Steele's family, losing him in such a sudden and violent way must be beyond difficult. And then there’s the family of the 15-year-old who was arrested. Regardless of circumstances, having a child involved in something this serious must be incredibly painful. It makes me wonder about the community's role in supporting these families through such a dark time. I hope there are support systems in place for them, as it’s clear they’ll all need a lot of compassion and strength going forward. Let's keep both families in our thoughts as we hope for justice and healing.
