I've been thinking a lot about what might have been going on behind closed doors in the Alba household. It's incredibly difficult to wrap my head around the idea that such a tragic event could happen to a couple in their golden years. I know they have a close-knit family, and it must be devastating for them, especially with it happening right on Christmas Eve. It makes me wonder about the kind of support our elderly are getting when it comes to mental health. Often, we talk about these issues in the context of younger generations, but it's clearly something that affects everyone, no matter the age. I'd like to see more discussions around mental health in seniors because it's a topic that seems to get overlooked. It's just so sad to see this kind of outcome when maybe something could have been done if there were more resources or awareness. My heart goes out to the entire family, and I hope they have a strong support system as they try to make sense of this. This really is a wake-up call for all of us to check in with our loved ones, no matter how old they are.
