I’ve been following the tragic case of Joshua Jibril Giles, and it's truly devastating that we still have so few answers. Something that's really striking to me is the amount of community support that has emerged since his passing. I've noticed several local vigils and outreach efforts aimed at not only remembering Joshua but also addressing the broader issue of gun violence in Vermont Square.
It's encouraging to see neighbors coming together, but it's also a painful reminder of the lack of safety many feel every day. The fact that people are still rallying months later shows how deeply this has affected everyone. I hope more people who might have information will hear these calls for justice and come forward to help Joshua’s family and friends find the closure they desperately need.
Does anyone know of any other specific community actions or advocacy groups that are trying to tackle these issues in LA? It feels like amplifying these efforts might also put pressure on authorities to intensify their investigation.
