I was reading about Calvin Gholar's case, and it's just devastating to think about his family still waiting for answers after all these years. Being from Bogalusa originally, he probably came to Baton Rouge looking for new opportunities, like so many do. It makes me wonder about the personal stories behind the statistics we hear about crime rates. Each unsolved homicide isn't just another number; it's a family left in turmoil, friends feeling the void, and a community losing trust in safety. I really hope more attention can be brought to these cold cases, and maybe someone will come forward with information. It's tough seeing the impact of Calvin's loss and knowing that justice has yet to be served. His loved ones deserve closure.
