It's so disheartening to hear about the loss of El'Jerome Combs amid such a violent period in New Orleans. What really catches my attention is the pattern we've been noticing in certain neighborhoods, especially the 5th and 7th districts. These areas seem to be caught in this terrible cycle of violence, and it's just devastating for the communities living there. I can't help but wonder what more can be done on a community level. How can local voices be amplified to bring about real change? Law enforcement can only do so much, and it seems clear there needs to be a focus on addressing the root causes like socio-economic disparities. It’s so important that we remember El'Jerome and the others who lost their lives, as well as work towards a future where these tragedies are less frequent. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
