I’ve been thinking a lot about Andrew Satavu’s tragic case, and one aspect that keeps nagging at me is how incredibly vulnerable delivery drivers are. I mean, here’s a man just trying to make an honest living, and in one of those everyday situations—something most of us don’t give a second thought to—he ends up losing his life. It really puts into perspective how much we take for granted when someone brings food to our doorstep. Andrew’s story has really made me think about ways we can better protect people in these kinds of jobs. I’m curious if anyone else feels this way or has any ideas on what could be done. More visibility for the drivers? Maybe community-based support to create safer environments? Not an easy fix, for sure, but something needs to change. I can only imagine what Andrew’s family is going through, and I truly hope they know how many people are standing with them as this case unfolds. If any fellow forum members have more information on how cases like this are handled or any legal angles, it’d be great to hear more. My thoughts are with his loved ones, and I’m hoping for justice to be served.
