Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic incident at Peck Park where Carlyle Phillips and Tashman Williams lost their lives. My heart goes out to their families and friends—it must be incredibly difficult to cope with such a senseless loss. I'm trying to wrap my head around why this altercation escalated to the point that it did. It’s perplexing to think about how a community gathering, meant to bring joy and unity through a car show and a softball game, became the scene of something so tragic. Were there any signs earlier in the day that something might happen, or did it truly come out of the blue? It’s worrying that such a large crowd was there, yet information seems to be sparse. With so many people around, someone must have seen or heard something that could help piece together the events. I really hope those who were present find the courage to speak up, if they haven’t already. Sending strength to everyone in the community dealing with this right now. Let’s hope justice is served and lessons are learned to prevent anything like this from happening again.
