Has anyone else been following the case of Edward Williford? There's just so much we don’t know yet. I keep thinking about how often gun violence seems to happen these days, especially in places like Stockton. It's scary to think that someone can be doing something as routine as walking down the street and be caught up in something so tragic. It's frustrating that no suspects have been identified. I can’t even begin to imagine how his family and friends must be feeling right now. All that talk about his laughter and love for cooking makes it even more apparent how much he meant to those who knew him. It seems like he was such a bright light among his loved ones. Does anyone have any updates on local initiatives to combat this violence or ways the community is rallying around affected families? It feels like we need to be talking more about solutions and supporting each other through these dark times. My thoughts are with Edward’s family and everyone in Stockton who feels the weight of this loss.
