I've been following the case and I just can't get over what happened to Matthew McDonough. What keeps me up at night is wondering what the motive could have been. Why did Matthew Cook do it? Was there some kind of argument or unresolved conflict? It's so hard to understand why someone would take such a drastic and violent step, especially against someone who's described by everyone as kind-hearted and selfless. It's incredibly saddening for his young son to lose his father in such a senseless act. I hope the investigation reveals more so that the family can at least find some answers amidst their grief. His community really lost someone special and it's a reminder of how crucial it is to tackle gun violence head-on.
