Has anyone considered the possibility that Deamonte never intended to stay long at the shelter on Desiard Street? Maybe he moved to Monroe with plans or connections that weren’t mentioned, and something went wrong. It's strange that the staff hadn't seen him for weeks before he last spoke with his mother. Could it be that he found another place to stay, or maybe he had a conflict at the shelter? Sometimes, people new to a place might fall through the cracks, especially if they don't have a strong support network. Monroe isn’t that big—someone must have seen or known something. Just a thought—maybe focusing on why he went there could bring up new leads? Anyone else have ideas?
