Has anyone else been thinking about the family of Virginia Lopez and how they must have felt when they heard Thomas was released in 2018? I can't even imagine the emotions they'd go through—anger, disbelief, maybe even fear that justice wasn’t truly served. It just seems so unfair that someone responsible for such an unimaginable loss could walk free after only 32 years. I’m also curious if the legal system has changed since then in handling cases involving extreme emotional disturbance. Does anyone have insight into whether this case impacted how similar cases are approached today? It's a heavy topic, but I think it's important to honor the victims by understanding every angle of what happened.

I’ve been thinking about Virginia Lopez’s family and the enormous loss they suffered due to the Palm Sunday Massacre. It’s tough to comprehend how life was altered for them. I read that Virginia was eight months pregnant at the time. It’s overwhelming to consider the life that was lost before it even began. Does anyone know if there were any memorials or initiatives started by her family or loved ones in her honor after the tragedy? Sometimes, hearing about these things gives a sliver of hope and shows the love that continues beyond the sorrow. If anyone knows more, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Sending thoughts to all the families affected during this unimaginable tragedy.
