Hey everyone, I've been following the Samuel A. Johnson Sr. case, and it's been really difficult to read about the events that led to his death. I can’t imagine the pain that his family and the whole Dexter community must have gone through, especially knowing that the suspect might never face trial because of the insanity ruling. It just feels like there’s a lack of closure. Something I wanted to discuss is the renaming of the bridge to honor Chief Johnson. It’s a significant gesture and hopefully brings some sense of peace or acknowledgment to those who knew him. I’m curious how the community felt about this decision. Do you think it’s the right way to honor his legacy? And what other ways do you think could commemorate Chief Johnson and support his family? It’s hard not to feel a mix of admiration for his bravery and sadness for the way things turned out.
