I've been thinking about the tragic loss of Officer Larry Serrano a lot lately, especially how his career trajectory speaks volumes about his character. Starting with the Guardian Angels and then serving as an Auxiliary Police Officer, Larry's dedication to keeping his community safe is truly inspiring. It's such a loss for someone with that kind of heart to be taken so violently. I can only imagine how much he must have influenced fellow officers at the 43rd Precinct with his passion and commitment. Hearing about how his life was cut short while off duty makes me realize the constant risks law enforcement officers face, even when they’re just trying to enjoy simple moments with their loved ones. Larry's story is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices these brave individuals make every day. My thoughts are with his family and the community that clearly valued his commitment to their safety.
