Having followed this case for a while, I can't shake the image of Maria standing there with her keys, probably having just returned home. It's chilling to think about how ordinary moments can turn so viciously tragic. The fact that she was found still holding her keys suggests she trusted whoever was knocking, which makes this even more unsettling. My heart truly goes out to everyone who loved Maria and the other victims. It's deeply troubling that despite the horror of the crime, it took a courthouse tragedy to break the case open. I hope that the families find some semblance of peace knowing that the case is moving forward, but it's sobering to remember how these senseless acts leave lasting scars on everyone involved. Let’s not forget Maria and the other victims while we continue to hope for a world where community safety is a priority.
