Hey everyone, I've been following Sharran Lee Haije's case for a while, and I've got this feeling that her tendency to wander into stranger's homes might have played a bigger role than we think. There are so many vacation homes in that area that are only used part-time, especially during the summer months. It's possible she found her way into one and got stuck or couldn't find her way out. I wonder if nearby property owners were ever asked to check their lesser-used buildings or even sheds and barns. Could she have been accidentally locked in somewhere? It would be a good idea for anyone local to keep an eye out and maybe encourage property owners to double-check their places, just to be sure. Thoughts?
Has anyone heard any updates on Sharran Lee Haije? It's been over five years since she disappeared, and I still think about her case from time to time. I live not too far from Gig Harbor and remember the extensive searches that took place around that time. I just read something about how folks with dementia sometimes try to return to places from their past, and it made me wonder if she had some kind of connection to another area we might not know about. For anyone local, I think it's important to remain vigilant, especially when checking our own homes and properties. It's unsettling to think she may have wandered into a vacant house and been overlooked. Has anyone checked those vacation properties again lately? Just thinking out loud here, hoping that maybe we can find some new leads.
