I'm still trying to wrap my head around the impact this has had on little ones left behind, especially Chantelle Johnson’s daughter. It's beyond comprehension how brave Darnell was to put himself in harm’s way to protect her. Just shows what kind of a person he was. It's a miracle she survived, but the trauma she might carry is heartbreaking. Does anyone have insight into how the children in such situations are supported or what services are available for them in New Orleans? I hope she gets all the love and care she needs to move forward.
