I've been reading about Anthony Johnson's case, and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends. Losing someone so young and full of potential is beyond tragic. It's distressing to see another life lost to gun violence in Baton Rouge—something that seemed all too common in 2015. What's on my mind is the incredible resilience of Anthony's family. Despite their immeasurable pain, they’ve kept his memory alive with such love and dedication. The online tributes and candlelight vigils they hold are a testament to his impact on those who knew him. It's infuriating that there hasn't been any progress in identifying suspects or making arrests. This is a reminder of how crucial it is for the community and law enforcement to work together to find solutions to these senseless acts of violence. Anthony, like so many others, deserves justice and to be remembered for the good in his life, not just the way it ended. Sending strength and hope to all those who continue to fight for answers.
